A
proxy is an intermediate server between your computer and the actual trading server, mainly used by internet providers and local networks. If you experience connection problems, turn to your internet provider or system administrator for help.
Flagging the "Enable proxy server" checkbox will enable proxy server support and activate the "Proxy..." button. When you click on this button, window with proxy server parameters will open to specify the proxy (these data can be given by the systems administrator or by internet provider):
• Server — proxy server address and type (HTTP, SOCKS5, or SOCKS4);
• Login — a user login for access to the proxy server. If login is not required, please leave this field empty;
• Password — a password for access to the proxy server. If password is not required, please leave this field empty.
When all the parameters have been specified, you are recommended to test all the settings by clicking on the "Test" button. If the test run have been successful, click "OK" to activate the settings.
If you receive an error message, the proxy server is set up incorrectly. To learn about the reason, contact your system administrator or internet provider.
