Security System
Data exchange between the Metatrader Client Terminal and the server is performed by 128-bit-keys encryption. This encryption is sufficient to ensure secure trading. Furthermore, other security systems can be used with Metatrader Client Terminal such as Advanced Security system based on digital signature algorithm of RSA. It is an asymmetric encryption algorithm that implies presence of a public and a private key. Public key can be freely distributed and designed for checking the authenticity of a message signed with a private key. Knowing of the public key is not enough to decode the private key.
Attention: The Advanced Security system based on electronic digital signatures can be enabled on the server.
If you want to protect your Forex Metatrader account through Advanced Security System, you have to create both public and private key using a special window. Move your cursor to the black area on your screen to generate random key sequence. The keys are stored on your hard drive. The public key is sent to the server. The server will use this key to review the authenticity of the information.
Attention:
• If you are working on another computer or with Metatrader Mobile, you have to insert the RSA keys into this specific computer. The keys represent files with KEY extension and are stored in the /CONFIG folder;
• Contact AvaFX technical support if keys are lost or inactive.
